Pride, Memories and Traditions

Have you ever wondered what happened to the awards that have been won by past Pasadena High School groups and students?  Or the history of the school? We have too! That is why we have been collecting plaques, trophies, and pictures that tell the history of Pasadena High School. We’ve created a place to showcase the history and recognition of Pasadena High School students.

We’re using the 1st floor of the “A” Building to display our students’ accomplishments. We’ve got showcases, plaques, pictures, and more. We would like to thank the Class of 1964 50-Year Reunion Committee for their generous donation of an additional 4-foot display case to be placed in the “A” Building. Looking ahead, we hope to add display cases to the Gladiss Edwards Auditorium to highlight the achievements of our instrumental music programs.

The Gladiss Edwards Auditorium, the Abel Franco Theatre, the Tom Hamilton Gymnasium and the Harriet Hammond Library Media Center are all named after past staff members honoring them for their contributions to our school. One of our goals is to add something in each building showcasing the individual and what they contributed to Pasadena High School. We're looking for information, photos, etc. on any of these individuals.

In addition to the showcases, we have set aside wall space areas to feature the following:

Notable Alumni: We have names but are looking for additional names (information and photos are also welcome) of who you think should be included as one of the Bulldog Notable Alumni.

Athletics: We're looking for programs from sporting events, athletic letters, letterman's jackets, information on important events in the school's history, etc.

Drill Team: We have some pictures and a uniform from 1972 but we're looking for any other memorabilia people would be willing to share.

Tournament of Roses: We're gathering information on Bulldog alumni who served as members of the Royal Court or as President of the Tournament of Roses. Please share any names, along with their year of involvement in the Tournament of Roses, and their graduation year. While we have a partial list, we're looking to fill in the gaps.

Academics: We're looking for any information on awards received. We do have a list but need to fill in some missing pieces.

Marching Band: We have group pictures, plaques, and trophies but we're looking for additional memorabilia people would be willing to share.

In addition to the above, we are looking for newspaper clippings, programs from athletic games and musical/theatre programs, athletic team uniforms, letterman's jackets, athletic letters, interesting photos, cheerleader/song girl uniforms, spirit items, and academic award information, etc.
